Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported the 6th Annual Friends of Peter Alderman Walk. On Saturday, September 13, approximately 150 people Walked from Village Hall to Fox Meadow Elementary School in Scarsdale, NY to honor the memory of Peter C. Alderman and help raise funds and awareness for the Peter C. Alderman Foundation. Luckily, the rain stayed away long enough for everyone to enjoy lunch and all of the festivities. Thank you to all of the Friends of Peter Alderman - you have outdone yourselves once again! This year's Walk raised even more than last year.
The Peter C. Alderman Foundation was established in Pete's memory to heal the emotional wounds of survivors of terrorism and mass violence by training indigenous health workers and establishing trauma treatment systems in post-conflict countries around the globe. Peter Alderman was attending a conference at the World Trade Center when he was murdered by terrorists. Pete was 25 years old when he died.
